About 4 years ago our brothers and sisters from Bayreuth (Bavaria, Germany) have rented a former disco, bar und Christian Community Center in the upper floor of a building, in order to establish their mosque (Taqwa Mosque) there.
At this point it was completely chaotic so that everything had to be cleaned and renovated. Ever since, the mosque has been used as a place where our brothers and sisters do not only pray their Salah, but also preach (in German and Arabic), teach (children as well as adults) and have their halaqas (for men as well as for women). The brothers and sisters from the Taqwa Mosque are now in need of YOUR help!
Unfortunately, the building in which the mosque is situated is going to be auctioned now, because the land lord could not pay back his credit to the bank with which he had built this building. This means, that if anyone else buys the building at the auction, the brothers and sisters will have to immediately leave and close their mosque. That’s why now, they want to make the best out of their situation and have started a fund-raising campaign, through which they are trying to gain enough money to be able to participate at the next auction themselves. The first two auctions are alhamdulillah already over, without anyone having bought the building. Now, it is their last chance to sustain their mosque by participating in the next and last auction which will take place in June 2010, inshallah. The good thing about this auction is that its’ starting price is at 0 Euros, so whoever is willing to pay to largest amount, to him will belong the whole building (2600m2)!
In case the money will be enough to buy the building, the brothers and sisters would like to create a great Dawa-complex which will inshallah include an Islamic kindergarden/school, library and a shop in which all kinds of Islamic products can be purchased.
My dear brothers and sisters out there, what might sound utopian at this moment, may inshallah be realized by YOUR support and donations!
